Android Central’s best of 2025: Smart watches, smart rings, and fitness trackers

Another year of amazing smartwatches! I was impressed to see how many companies came out with watches with new features, better functionality, and the overall idea of having a better idea of what we use a smart watch for.
By jumping in, Google wins with the best Android smartwatch. The company’s Pixel Watch 4 exceeded its claims of being a good smartwatch.
Best smartwatch: Google Pixel Watch 4
The Pixel Watch 4 dominated the staff vote, with only a few choices for the Galaxy Watch 8 or Garmin. People were impressed by how many enhancements Google packed into this thing: a high-quality display, a significant battery boost paired with high-speed charging, accurate and efficient dual-band GPS, satellite SOS, and a Pixel-like Material 3 Expressive UI redesign.
After reviewing and loving the Pixel Watch 4 myself, I can continue! But the main point is that, for four generations, Google is still focused on innovation and development, while the most established brands like Apple and Samsung have fallen into a comfortable rhythm and rarely do that. vibrations changes from year to year. Also, the Pixel Watch 4 experience should continue to improve as Google improves the Gemini Assistant experience and Fitbit AI training.
Best smart ring: Oura Ring 4
Oura continues to dominate the smart ring category, and while the Oura Ring 4 was launched in the last quarter of 2024, the company did not slow down, introducing major hardware and software updates. The new Oura Ring Ceramic is a great piece of hardware for those of you looking for a wearable that looks great, and the newly revamped Oura app adds a touch of Apple’s Liquid Glass UI design while invoking a cool design to really hone in on the health aspect of the product.
Oura also leaned on AI this year with the launch of Advisor, an AI-powered chatbot that helps you understand your metrics and can chat with you about your stats. You can even track food by taking photos of yourself, allowing the Oura app to determine what you’ve eaten and how it might contribute to your overall health.
Best smart glasses: Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2
After a successful two-year run, Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses got its first sequel, and Meta seems to have done everything right. The new styles are paired with excellent camera enhancements that both improve resolution to 3K and deliver even better video stabilization. Not only that, but the glasses feature double the battery life of the original release, as well as new features such as focus on conversation, better microphones, and better speakers with Dolby Atmos Surround support for an amazing sound experience. Oh, and don’t forget the fact that Meta updates these basically every month with a new feature, and you get a pair of AI goggles that can’t be beaten.
