Apple Releases Safari Technology Preview 236 with Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements

Apple today released a new update to Safari Technology Preview, a test browser first introduced in March 2016. Apple designed Safari Technology Preview to allow users to test features planned for future versions of the Safari browser.

Safari Technology Preview‌ 236 includes fixes and updates for CSS, Forms, HTML, Images, Media, Rendering, SVG, Web API, and WebRTC.

The current release of Safari Technology Preview is compatible with devices running macOS Sequoia and macOS Tahoe, the latest version of macOS.

The Safari Technology Preview update is available through the Software Update tool in System Preferences or System Settings for anyone who downloaded the browser from Apple’s website. The complete release notes for the update are available on the Safari Technology Preview website.

Apple’s goal with the Safari Technology Preview is to gather feedback from developers and users on the process of improving its browser. Safari Technology Preview can work side-by-side with the existing Safari browser and while it is designed for developers, it does not require a developer account to download and use it.
