A mini PC can be an efficient replacement for a bulky desktop, but the smallest price on a comparison page rarely represents the finished system. Memory, storage, an operating-system license, a suitable power adapter, display cables and a better warranty can change the total before the computer performs its first useful task. Cooling and service access then determine whether the machine remains pleasant to own after the initial setup.

Confirm whether the pictured power supply is included and designed for the region of sale. A useful total-cost column should also record return shipping and restocking terms. This is purchasing arithmetic rather than a model test, but it exposes configurations whose low headline price depends on several omitted parts.

A computer mounted behind a monitor may face warmer air and restricted clearance.
