Epic Games Store Saw Record-Setting Third-Party Sales Growth by 2025, Reaching 317M+ PC Users

As for what Epic has planned for 2026, the Fortnite company says it will focus on “brings long-requested features and deep platform improvements,” especially pointing out that the company is in the process of “rebuilding the underlying structure of the Epic Games Store Launcher,” with plans to ship these changes in the summer of 2026.

The changes promise a more responsive launcher that feels “good to use,” with better stability and faster loading times. It also promises public spaces in the Epic Games Store and the development of EGS community skills, even adding voice chat and private associations. It will also add cross-platform libraries between PC and mobile games, and the introduction of regional storefronts with local item discovery systems.
