Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 5G review

Introduction
There are several models of the Redmi Note 15. Today, we’re looking at the Redmi Note 15 5G (no Pro moniker).
The Redmi Note 15 5G looks like its siblings and thus does not deviate in any major way from the latest Xiaomi form. Not much has changed in the hardware department. It seems that Xiaomi doesn’t want to rock the boat too much, which is a good indication that sales are likely to be strong for the series as a whole.

In fact, we have a little trouble accurately placing the Redmi Note 15 5G among the current list. Despite the lack of a “Pro” moniker, it seems to sit above the Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G with a better chipset, noticeably capable of 4K video capture and a better, HDR10+ certified display. You have to live with a smaller battery, but that seems to be the only real trade-off. As for the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, it seems that the Redmi Note 15 5G beats in many aspects, but again, it is a very expensive device.

All in all, the Redmi Note 15 5G looks like the “sweet spot” in the Redmi Note 15 family. Yes, the devil is in the details, which we’ll go over as usual, but on the outside, it seems like all its bases are well covered.
It offers impressive durability, an open and bright display, with HDR, and a decent Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset that does not suffer from obvious limitations in the MediaTek Helio G200 Ultra, it powers the Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G. There’s expandable storage, the camera setup looks solid, if not particularly impressive and at 5520 mAh, the battery pack still offers decent power. However, it is probably the weakest link in the chain here. We will have to see.
Unboxing
The Redmi Note 15 5G does not depart from the established Redmi package. It comes in a standard white box with red markings. It is a two-piece thick cardboard box that provides plenty of protection during shipping. At the same time, there is no plastic in the visible packaging, except for a small, eco-friendly bag.

The included accessory package is pretty good, especially by modern standards. That said, due to EU regulations, those markets don’t get the charger in the box. However, some places get a free Xiaomi 45W wall plug that can fully complement the fast charging speed of the Redmi Note 15 5G.
Beyond the charger, everyone gets a nice 5A USB Type-A to Type-C proprietary cable with an extra pin, just like the charger. Make sure you don’t lose it. Also in the box is a nice, thick, gray, soft TPU case.
