It’s not the cheapest flagship phone, but this price finally puts some distance between it and the highest price of the launch period that Samsung started earlier this year. Reviewer for CNET Abrar Al-Heeti described the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra as a series of “modest but meaningful” upgrades, and much of that is due to how useful the new features feel in everyday use. He says: “The S26 Ultra isn’t the best version of its predecessor, but it retains what made the S25 Ultra shine while adding some notable capabilities.” In particular, he called the thin aluminum construction, the light feel and the excellent battery life, saying that the phone lasted well for more than a day even with heavy streaming, scrolling and use on the go. He also noted his appreciation for the privacy display and Horizontal Lock features.

For another CNET WritingAbrar says the new Privacy Display quickly became one of his favorite additions, and he especially liked being able to hide notifications or specific apps without turning off the entire display. In his review, he notes that it can be useful “in your banking app or email, as well as your lock screen, so no one sees your password or PIN.”

The S26 Ultra also offers improved color accuracy and phasing for more natural-looking visuals, as well as sharper details during streaming and playback, compared to previous models. The 60-watt fast charge is a welcome addition for a phone designed for heavy daily use, too.
