Anker today launched its latest iPhone charger, the Anker Prime Wireless Charging Station. A 3-in-1 charger that can charge iPhone up to 25W, fast charge iPhone, and charge AirPods.<\/p>\n

The Prime Wireless Charging Station features Qi2.2 support, allowing charging of compatible MagSafe iPhones up to 25W. It’s the same speed as Apple’s MagSafe charger, and 10W faster than standard Qi2 MagSafe chargers.<\/p>\n

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 models are capable of fast charging with the Prime Wireless Charging Station, and can achieve a 50 percent charge within 30 minutes. We were able to test the Prime Wireless Charging Station ahead of launch, and it did indeed charge the iPhone 17 Pro Max from dead to 46 percent in 30 minutes as promised. Wireless charging speeds may vary depending on charging rate, temperature, and other factors, but the Wireless Charging Station is capable of matching Apple iPhone 17\u200cMagSafe’s native charging options.<\/p>\n

Charging speeds are stable thanks to the active “AirCool” feature that keeps the iPhone cool while charging. It is designed to ensure that the iPhone is below 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit while charging, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max feels slightly cooler than when charging with a standard MagSafe charger. The included cooling system is close to inaudible with a small fan embedded in the back and space at the top, so it’s perfect for nightstand or desktop use.<\/p>\n

It’s not clear if the active cooling makes a big difference in all cases as we were able to get the same charge at the same time with Apple’s MagSafe charger, but it could be a useful feature in hot conditions. The room we tested was about 68F, while Anker’s test conditions were 77F. Anker’s site suggests that active cooling allows the iPhone 17 to charge 24 percent faster with 30 percent less heat build-up. Anker says the cooling option is also meant to preserve battery life and maintain safety, which is worth considering.<\/p>\n

Apple Watches that support fast charging can charge at high speed, and there is enough power for AirPods or AirPods Pro. There is a handy LED to control the AirCool feature, which you can tap to turn it on or off. The LED turns blue when the AirCool feature is on, or white when it’s off. It will also turn orange if you plug in a less than 45W compatible adapter, which is useful. If you want to use the Prime Wireless Charging Station in your nightstand, you’ll be happy to hear that the LEDs turn off after a few seconds so there’s no annoying light at night.<\/p>\n

The Prime Wireless Charging Station takes up less space, thanks to the foldable design. The iPhone charger is in the upright position with StandBy mode support, while the pop-up charger for the Apple Watch is placed on the back rather than the AirPods charging platform underneath. The Apple Watch charger folds down into the iPhone charger with a hinge that feels sturdy, and you can squeeze it out. For charging AirPods, there is an anti-slip pad with a small AirPods icon for better alignment.<\/p>\n

Everything folds into a small, palm-sized package that’s perfect for travel, measuring 3.8 inches by 2.4 inches by 1.2 inches. It’s surprisingly light for what it is, about the same weight as the iPhone 17 Pro Max we tested. You can use the iPhone charger with the Charging Dock folded up, but you’ll need to open it all the way to access the Apple Watch and AirPods chargers.<\/p>\n

The charging part of the iPhone works as a stand, and you can change the angle from 0 to 60 degrees without the weight of the iPhone folded down. Works great for watching videos or FaceTime calls.<\/p>\n

Anker includes the 45W power adapter needed for maximum charging speeds, and a standard 5-foot USB-C to USB-C cable, meaning the charger is ready to go out of the box. It would have been nice to have an integrated cable of some sort to enhance the travel-friendly design, but it’s still a compact design that’s easy to stuff into a backpack or suitcase. It also looks sleek with a gray aluminum design, a black magnetic charging port for iPhones and AirPods, and symmetrical feet on the bottom. The Apple Watch charger is designed for the Apple Watch design, so it’s white.<\/p>\n

Anker’s charger is designed for the latest iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 models, but is backwards compatible with all iPhone models, and works with all Apple Watch models and all AirPods models. As with all magnetic chargers, if you want to use the charging station with an iPhone case, you’ll need a MagSafe-compatible case.<\/p>\n
